Q: Is ViewSonic's 7-Inch ViewPad a Phone or Android Tablet? A: Both!

Up till now you have been hearing nothing but rumors related to Viewsonic’s first ever Android Tablet. It’s time to move away from the rumor zone as ViewSonic has detailed the official specs of their upcoming Tablet.

By the look of things, ViewSonic wasn’t in the mood of playing the waiting game as it shared the PR prior to the IFA 2010 event kick off which possibly has to do with the fear of being overshadowed by the Samsung Galaxy Tab announcement. Anyways, here is what the device has in store for you.

A 600 MHz processor. Android 2.2 Froyo enabled. Front and rear facing camera. 7 inch capacitive multi-touch screen. 800 x 480 resolution. 3G enabled, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi.
By looking at the specs, I see no reason to term it as a potential iPad competitor. As a matter of fact, I see it as a sad excuse for being termed a Tablet at all.
